​Byron begins his message by asking this question.
 
How important is it for us to thank and praise God during the midst of our trials?
 
     He takes us to the example found in Acts 16, where Paul and Silas were traveling to Macedonia and after healing a girl were brought before the magistrates on trumped-up charges.
 
     Byron uses the example of Paul and Silas showing how they turned to God, even after being beaten, arrested, and thrown into prison that they along about midnight were praying and singing praises to God.
 
Byron ends his message this way:
 
God understands and he has a purpose for everything. When we're in the midst of our trials, when we find
ourselves in the valley of the shadow of death, we can thank God, we can magnify God, and we can praise Him.
 
     We can joyously ask God to supply our needs! We can ask for our needs in faith, and belief; believing in the midst of our trial that we shall receive. (link to video)

     Here is how Byron opens his Message.
Good morning everyone and Happy Sabbath Day. Today I am going talk about something that's not even in the Bible, let's turn to Luke 14. In Luke 14 Jesus gives us the victory
conditions, he tells us how to win, he tells us how to win the prize by giving us the instructions on how to capture the flag. This section of Luke 14 is known as counting the cost or the three cannot's.
     Jesus gives us instructions on what we must do - so that we can qualify to be his disciples. In Chapter 15 he gives us three parables that are about loss and redemption, today we are going to focus on the third parable, like I said it's not even in the Bible and I'll tell you what that means in just a little bit.
    The first thing I'd like to do is to focus on the foundation of Luke 14, the three cannot's. Then we will cover the two parables that come before the parable of the prodigal son, which is where we will spend most of our time. As we end this message today I'll I will tell you why you and I should be prodigal, we should be very prodigal.
