There is something unique in Rev. 14. We will see that there’s a difference between the 144,000 in Rev. 14 and the 144,000 in Rev. 7. Rev. 7 clearly identifies the 12 tribes of Israel, and the                                               great innumerable multitude.

There is something unique in Rev. 14. We will see that there’s a difference between the 144,000 in Rev. 14 and the 144,000 in Rev. 7. Rev. 7 clearly identifies the 12 tribes of Israel, and the great innumerable multitude.

Revelation 14:1: “And I looked, and I beheld the Lamb standing on Mount Sion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads.” You don’t have that in Rev. 7!

Verse 2: “Then I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters, and like the sound of great thunder; and I heard the sound of lyre players playing their lyres. And they were singing a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures and the elders. And no one was able to learn the song except the hundred and forty-four thousand, who were redeemed from the earth” (vs 2-3).

That’s an interesting phrase! This doesn’t give us any time period; no time period. Whereas, Rev. 7 it’s right there right after two years of the Tribulation. They’re redeemed from the earth.

Verse 4: “These are the ones who were not defiled with women…” Who is the worst woman of all? Babylon the Great! This has to refer to churches.

“…for they are virgins…” (v 4). None in Rev. 7 are called virgins! What does this mean? That the 144,000 here never had a problem with apostasy at all! They always believe God and kept the commandments of God.

“…they are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. They were purchased from among men as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb” (v 4). Not the firstfruits, but as firstfruits!

Verse 5: “And no guile was found in their mouths; for they are blameless before the throne of God.”

Can we determine something from this if we examine the seven churches in Rev. 2 & 3?

Church of Ephesus: Revelation 2:4: “Nevertheless, I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Therefore, remember from where you have fallen, and repent… [of sin] …and do the first works; for if you do not, I will come to you quickly; and I will remove your lampstand out of its place unless you repent” (vs 4-5).

You would have to say that those in this group of the Church could not be called virgins, because they left their first love.

·         What did they do?
·         Where did they go?
·         How did this come about?

We don’t know, but it’s probably adding things in. remember that one of the things that John wrote in 1-John 5, ‘Little children, flee idols.’ Why would he says that? Because some were bringing in idols! We could conclude that of the 144,000 in Rev. 14, perhaps very few came out of the Church of Ephesus.

Church of Smyrna: Verse 9: “‘I know your works and tribulation and poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy of those who declare themselves to be Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Do not fear any of the things that you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried; and you shall have tribulation ten days. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life” (vs 9-10). Not one bit of correction! He didn’t tell them to repent.

Church of Pergamos: Verse 14: “But I have a few things against you because you have there those who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit fornication.” If you commit fornication, you’re not a virgin! So, they had those sins.

Verse 15: “Moreover, you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.”

So, they had quite a few problems here: idols, wrongly taking the Passover, because the Eucharist of the Catholic Church is called the Sacrifice of the Mass!

They literally, in what they do, are saying that Christ is crucified again, because you get His blood and flesh right through eating the bread and drinking the wine, if the priest allows you to do it! Some priests drink so much that they’re almost drunk when they’re done.

Verse 16: “Repent! For if you do not repent, I will come to you quickly, and will make war against them with the sword of My mouth.”

They were so bad that Christ had to fight against them! That’s quite a thing when you consider it. We can conclude that those at Pergamos could not be considered virgins.

Church of Thyatira: Verse 20: “But I have a few things against you, because you allow the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce My servants into committing fornication and eating things sacrificed to idols…. [sin] …And I gave her time to repent of her fornication, but she did not repent” (vs 20-21). This has to be talking about the Catholic Church!

It’s interesting that the Council of Trent was setup by the Catholics to try and combat the rising insurgency of the Protestants. They actually had some Catholics factions of that Council who said, ‘We ought to go by Scriptures only.’

There was the opportunity to repent, but what happened? Just like what is written in Rome’s Challenge to the Protestants: Cardinal Gibbon said that they concluded, ‘Since the Protestants kept Sunday, and Sunday was a Catholic institution or tradition, therefore, they were not keeping Scriptures only.’ They were following tradition and Scripture! ‘So, we will keep our traditions and follow Scripture.’

But the way they follow Scripture is very little! So, you can’t say that those in Thyatira were virgins.

Verse 21: “And I gave her time to repent of her fornication, but she did not repent. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their works” (vs 20-21).

What eventually happened to the Catholic Church? In Europe it was very powerful in getting into the 1000-1400s and began eroding in the 1500s by the Protestants!

How did God eventually take care of the Catholic Church? Garibaldi and the armies of Italy in the 1870s revolted against the Catholic Church, because all of the areas of Italy were broken down into provinces that were run by the Catholic Church. So, he took all of them away and made the Catholics and the popes stay in the Vatican.

From that time until Mussolini, the pope never left the Vatican. No repentance! That’s how God came against them. It was not until Mussolini where they had the Treaty of Lateran when Mussolini recognized the pope that the pope was able to travel outside the Vatican area.

Verse 23: “And I will kill her children with death…” That’s exactly what happened when Garibaldi took over all of the Catholic Church and all of their territories in Italy!

“…and all the churches shall know that I am He Who searches the reins and hearts; and I will give to each of you according to your works. But to you I say, and to the rest who are in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, and who have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak…” (vs 23-24).

So, Thyatira was one of the best and one of the worst. You can’t say that those of Thyatira were virgins.

Church of Sardis: Revelation 3:1: “…I know your works, and that you have a name as if you are alive, but are dead.” They don’t keep the doctrines the way that they should and are about to die.

Verse 5—if you keep the few things remaining, “…I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.”

Church of Philadelphia: Verse 10: “Because you have kept the Word of My patience, I also will keep you from the time of temptation, which is about to come upon the whole world to try those who dwell on the earth.” They’re not told to repent here either.

Church of Laodicea: They’re told to repent!

So, out of the seven churches, only two were what you would call virgins!

Speculation: Do those who fall into that category the ones of the 144, 000 in Rev. 14? Will they actually be the Bride of Christ? Remember, when the Corinthians were sinning, Paul said, ‘Behold, I want to present you as a chaste virgin to Christ!

Well the Corinthians can’t because they’ve had all their sins.

·         Do you think that Christ would marry a non-virgin?
·         Will those of the 144,000 be the Bride of Christ and all the rest of us are the guests? Don’t know!

I tell you how I first thought of it: I performed a wedding in Fairfield and it went well. Then we had the wedding supper. It was very interesting and everybody was sitting around talking and having a good time. Then the band struck up the music and the bride and groom danced. I thought to myself, all the rest of us out here are guests. I wondered if that’s the way it’s going to be with Christ and the Bride? Don’t know!

That’s just speculation, but it may be true! It may be true in degree, but Who’s going to make that choice? God the Father and Jesus Christ!

Wouldn’t Abraham and David be part of the Bride of Christ? I don’t think so, I think they will be at a higher level! Much higher!

How would you separate the guests and the Bride from Christ’s time until today? God knows! He has to make the decision; it’s not up to us!

But we can that those of Rev. 14 are distinctly different from those of Rev. 7. In looking at that, since they’re called virgins… If they weren’t called that, you wouldn’t suspect that they would only be the Bride of Christ! But since it says that they are, and we read Rev. 2 & 3, and we only find two churches that we can classify as virgins, then there may be something to it. We don’t know!

It’s two-fold down through the centuries and at the end-time as well. We don’t know exactly how all of that is going to work. That’s the only distinction that we can make here with this.

The Unpardonable Sin:

A lot of people feel sometimes that they have committed the unpardonable sin and they’re really grievously upset and worrying about their salvation. Let’s see what Christ said about the unpardonable sin.

It’s very interesting with what Jesus says here; Matthew 12:30: “The one who is not with Me is against Me…” In another place He says that ‘the one who is for Me is not against Me.’

That’s those in the world who are carnal and not called, but are for God and not against Him, they’re just in the world.

“…and the one who does not gather with Me scatters. Because of this, I say to you, every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven to men except the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit; that shall not be forgiven to men” (vs 30-31). Why? Who sends the Spirit? God the Father and Jesus Christ!

We have the begettal to be the son or daughter of God, and we have the Holy Spirit to develop the mind of Christ! So, those are the two aspects of it.

·         What happens when someone commits the unpardonable sin?
·         Would they be grievous and repenting? No!

Verse 32: “And whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him…”

·         What did Jesus say when He was up on the cross? Father, forgiven them for they know not what they do!
·         How treacherous were they? As treacherous as could be!

“…but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this age nor in the coming age” (v 32). There you find the second resurrection! There are two parts to the second resurrection:

1.       those who have not committed the unpardonable sin
2.       those who have

Those who have committed the unpardonable sin will go into the Lake of Fire. Those who have not will have an opportunity for salvation. What kind of attitude does someone have who commits the unpardonable sin? They will:

·         be hateful toward God
·         reject the Holy Spirit of God
·         reject the Word of God
·         be set in their ways and bitter in animosity toward God and will not repent

Remember the DVD message called The Delusion of Drugs. There’s a family trying to redeem a son, and the relatives were there, too. They pleaded with him, ‘Please, won’t you come back. Please!’ He said no! ‘Please, we’ll help you.’ No! No! No! and he got up and walked out.

If you haven’t watched that first segment, that is something! That shows you as close as you can get to the unpardonable sin. Absolutely no thought of repentance.

How bad can a person get into and still repent and receive forgiveness from God. What are two classic ones from the Old Testament? Manasseh! Look at what he did! He became king when he was very young, and things were already very corrupt.

2-Chronicles 33:1: “Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem.”

You can be thankful that we have Presidents that can only be in office eight years.

Verse 2: “But he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel, for he built again the high places, which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshiped all the host of heaven, and served them. And he built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, ‘In Jerusalem shall My name be forever’” (vs 2-4). Manasseh was really going at it!

Verse 5: “And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. And he caused his sons to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom. He also observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD to provoke Him to anger. And he set a carved image, the idol, which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, ‘In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever. Nor will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land, which I have set apart for your fathers—if only they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses’” (vs 5-8). That’s quite a thing that he was doing!

Verse 9: “But Manasseh led astray Judah and the people of Jerusalem, and caused them to do worse than the nations whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel. And the LORD spoke to Manasseh and to His people, but they would not listen” (vs 9-10). He spoke through Jeremiah!

Verse 11: “Wherefore, the LORD brought upon them the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh with hooks and bound him with chains and carried him to Babylon.” Because Assyria ruled Babylon at that time!

Verse 12: “And when he was in affliction, he sought the LORD his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. And he prayed to Him, and He was entreated of him and heard his prayer, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD is God” (vs 12-13).

So, here we have a situation where this deep repentance was forgiven. The rest of the story is that he cleaned up the area around the temple and got rid of all the sacrifices to the other gods and so forth.

How many times was he repenting during that time of his repentance? It couldn’t be just one prayer! It would have to be really abhorring himself!’

Look at what Job had to go through before he abhorred himself! In a way he did worse than Manasseh, because he did everything that God said, but he took the credit for it all! He was, in his rebellion against God and in iniquity Job was worshipping himself instead of God! He even thought that he was on par with God, because he wanted to have a judge come and declare Job’s righteousness to God and settle the matter.

In a way—though Manasseh was more evil in what he was doing—Job was worse because Job had all the Truth, and yet, took the credit to himself instead giving all credit to God.

I’m sure that it was quite a spell that he was repenting, confessing and everything like that. It wasn’t just a one time prayer, ‘O Lord, forgive me.’ You can’t just have one small prayer and everything is forgiven. Read Psa. 51; you abhor yourself, you abhor your sins. You see that you have sinned against God greatly. That the only thing in you is nothing but sin! Then there will be forgiveness!

A little correction: Jeremiah wasn’t calling Manasseh to repentance, that was before, because Jeremiah started in the 12th or 13th year of Josiah.

Matthew 12:32: “And whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this age nor in the coming age. Either make the tree good…” (vs 32-33). What is that likened to? Repentance!

“…and the fruit good, or make the tree corrupt and its fruit corrupt; for a tree is known by its fruit” (v 33). If it’s corrupt and unredeemable, that’s the unpardonable sin. There’s no way out of that!

It’s just like in the segment on Delusion of Drugs, there was not talking to this man to get him to stop drugs, to quit doing what he was doing. He said no to his mother, father, his aunt and sister. Then he got up and walked out.

Another example of the unpardonable sin is Satan the devil. He has not and will not repent. His ultimate goal is always to be like God, the Most High. He won’t repent.

Those who have never been converted, it’s possible that some will refuse to repent. But the unpardonable sin in Heb. 6 talks about those who have repented, receive the Holy Spirit and then quit!

Hebrews 6:4: “For it is impossible… [Greek means there is no power possible] …for those who were once enlightened, and who personally obtained the heavenly gift, and became partakers of the Holy Spirit.” The heavenly gift is forgiveness, the gift of grace!

Verse 5: “And who have tasted the good Word of God, and the powers of the world to come, if they have fallen away… [to apostatize] …to renew them again unto repentance…” (vs 5-6)--nothing will get to them!

That depends on free choice. Will they repent? If they repent then they haven’t committed the unpardonable sin!

Manasseh probably came as close as anyone to committing the unpardonable sin, but he repented. But here it is that there’s no way “…to renew them again unto repentance…” Look at Cain; he did not repent! It showed he didn’t repent. He said, ‘Am I my brother’s keeper?’ He didn’t fall down on his knees and say, ‘O Lord, I killed him; I got angry.’ Esau didn’t repent of selling his birthright. But he wasn’t converted. Here we’re talking about converted people.

“…seeing that they are crucifying the Son of God for themselves, and are publicly holding Him in contempt” (v 6). The attitude is complete incalcitrant and contemptuous attitude toward God!

Verse 7: “For the ground that soaks up rain coming often upon it, and also produces useful plants for those for whom it is tilled, receives a blessing from God. But that which brings forth thorns and thistles is rejected and near to being cursed, the end of which is for burning” (vs 7-8)--which is the Lake of Fire! That’s the attitude of the unpardonable sin. There’s no way to bring them to repentance:

·         no remorse
·         no feeling
·         no nothing

Just hard-hearted, incalcitrant against God, against the Father, holding God in contempt, Christ in contempt and rejecting everything of God.

How many people will be that way? Don’t know! But I know of one man who may have come mighty, mighty close to it. But I have no idea. That’s why God judges the heart; He knows. There’s no way that we can even determine if someone has or not, because God alone knows!

Verse 9: “But, although we speak these things, beloved, we are persuaded of better things concerning you, even the fruits that accompany salvation. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work, and the labor of love by which you have showed honor to His name, in that you have served the saints and are continuing to serve them. But we earnestly desire that every one of you be demonstrating the same diligence, unto the full assurance of the hope until the end; so that you do not become lazy, but that you be imitators of those who through faith and steadfast endurance inherit the promises” (vs 9-12). Then Paul goes back talking about Abraham!

Those are the odds and ends that I wanted to cover today. I would like to, in January, do a series in Galatians, because Galatians is one of the most difficult books in the New Testament, especially the way it’s translated in the King James. It has led many people to believe that you don’t have to keep the Law and that it has been abolished. But it actually teaches the opposite!

In the Bible we see this: the Bible tells us a summary first, then gives us the details; after the summary! The details might not necessarily come in sequence right after the other, because we know the Bible is put together 'here a little and there a little,' etc.

Let's stop and think about things for minute. Everything gets down sooner or later to the individual, everything! When God started out, what did He do? Created Adam, first man; then Eve! Things got so bad that He had to destroy everything with a flood. He started out again with one man and his family; his wife and his three sons and their wives. Then things got so bad again that God started out with one man, Abraham. Everything else that is in the rest of the Bible is because of Abraham.
So, numbers to God do not count. It is what is your relationship with God that counts, and how you love Him and obey Him. Then we come on down to through the children of Israel, and again it narrows down to a man David. Then that narrows down to the prophesied Messiah. From that comes the Church, and from that then comes all of the rulers for the Kingdom of God; the first resurrection.
In this we have a pattern in the Bible that we will see: the Bible tells us a summary first, then gives us the details; after the summary! The details might not necessarily come in sequence right after the other, because we know the Bible is put together 'here little and there a little,' etc.
As I mentioned in part one, the plan of God is pictured by His Holy Days and Sabbath. And two key important things on that, two simple things are:
  • the Sabbath
  • the Passover
Now then, that is based on another thing, which is more complicated but accurate, and that is on the Calculated Hebrew Calendar.
What God does is He gives the outline and then He puts the details in different places. This is why we have to go through 'a little here, a little there' and 'rightly divide' the Word of God and put it together.
Daniel 9:1: "In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans."
This is just before the 70-year captivity of Judah ended in Babylon. I want you to notice one thing very important: there are patterns in the Bible that follow all the way through. You take what is called 'the Lord's prayer.' It starts out, 'Our Father in heaven, Holy is your name; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.'
That's saying a lot right there. Think of all the details that come from that: for the things pertaining to God's plan in the world, and for the things in each life of everyone who is praying to God. Then 'give us our daily bread, forgive us our trespasses.' What we have here is the pattern.
Look at this pattern, v 4: "And I prayed to the LORD my God and made my confession, and said, 'O LORD, the great and awesome God, keeping the covenant and mercy to those who love Him, and to those who keep His commandments… [follows right along with outline] …we have sinned and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, and have turned aside from Your commandments and from Your ordinances'" (vs 4-5).
Confession of sin, forgive us our sins, and that's what He says, forgive. Let's see how it ends, and then we will see God's answer to this prayer.
  • it has to do with Israel
  • it has to do with the whole plan of God
  • it has to do with the coming of the Messiah
  • it has to do with the end of the age
  • it has to do with the new heavens and the new earth
Verse 19: "O LORD, hear; O LORD, forgive; O LORD, hearken and do. Do not delay, for Your own sake, O my God; for Your city and Your people are called by Your name." Then while Daniel was speaking we have Gabriel who came.
Verse 24: "Seventy weeks…" These are not 70 weeks of 7-day weeks, but these are 70 weeks of 7-year weeks, like counting to the Jubilee; that is called a heptad. Though it is given in sequence, it is not an unbroken sequence.
Verse 24: "Seventy weeks are decreed upon your people and upon your Holy city [#1]to finish the transgression…"
  • What is the transgression?
  • How far back does that reach? Reaches back to Satan, then Adam!
  • Do we all sin because of Adam? Yes, indeed!
  • Do we all die because of Adam? Yes, indeed?
"…[#2]and to make an end of sin…" (v 24). When does the end of sin finally take place? There two steps for that:
  • the binding of Satan forever
  • the Lake of Fire for the incorrigible wicked
When you read these things and, of course, none of what we're talking about now was remotely understood even down during Christ's time. And we have not been able to understand it until we see the things as they're laid out in the pattern of the Holy Days and so forth.
"…[#3]and to make reconciliation for iniquity… [that took place with the death of Christ] …[#4]and to bring in everlasting righteousness… [that's New Jerusalem—new heaven and new earth] …[#5] and to seal up the vision and prophecy, [#6]and to anoint the Most Holy. Know, therefore, and understand that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem, to Messiah the Prince…" (vs 24-25). It gives a starting point, and this was with Cyrus.
"…shall be seven weeks… [49 years] …and sixty-two weeks. It shall be built again with streets and the wall, even in troublous times" (vs 25). You read the whole history of that in Ezra and Nehemiah and you can read that in Josephus, as well.
So, what were doing and looking at the Scriptures the prophecies, in many cases, are general outlines, then all the details come later. We will see that that's a pattern throughout the whole Bible.
Note the book: The Appointed Times of Jesus the Messiah. Get that because this fully explains the detailed history, which is quite complicated because—we will see in Dan. 10 and you look at the chart in Appendix Y—were looking at about 500 years just to the first coming of Christ. Then over 2000 years to His second coming.
When you have a statement like were told in Isa. 28 'a little here and a little there; line upon line; precept upon precept' and then we 'rightly divide' the Word of God and put it together.
Verse 26: "And after sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off but not for Himself…." What does that mean? It means the crucifixion, and that was not to happen until after 62 weeks. So, that 7 years times 62; just a little quick math you see what you come up with.
It didn't say long after the 62 weeks "…but not for Himself…" because that's for the sins of the whole world. But it doesn't tell us that here. Here is a mistake that people make when they read this:
"…And the people of the prince who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary…." (v 26). When Jesus came, did He destroy the city and the sanctuary? No! He did not! This is not referring to Jesus Christ, but this is referring to the one that we know today will be the beast power that has yet to arise.
"…But his end shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week" (vs 26-27).
When people first read that and they find out the Jesus was crucified in the middle of the week they apply this to Jesus. But it doesn't! It applies to the prince who is going to make an agreement be a seven-year time period. This is where we get in prophecy the last seven years, and there quite a few things that fit into that last seven years.
So, we had the building of the temple and after that is completed we come down to the time of Malachi and a prophecy of John the Baptist, and then down to Christ. Christ is not baptized until after the 62nd week has ended, and that ended on the on the last day of the 6th month, and the 1st day of the 7th month began the 63rd year.
In that year Jesus was baptized and His temptation started on the Day of Atonement, which was also a Jubilee. Now, that's profound because think of all the details that have been added to this Scripture through the Calculated Hebrew Calendar and through other Scriptures.
Furthermore, it says that Jesus came at the appointed time, and He died at the appointed time. All that brings in the Calculated Hebrew Calendar.
So, this beast power will come in, make a covenant for seven years and then in the middle of it that's when the Tribulation begins. From this we can understand that at the beginning of that seven-year period there will be a time—as 1-Thess. 5 tells us--of peace and security. Think about that!
In just America, in our entire history we've only had 12 years without war. That's something—isn't it? And consider the rest of the world.
Now then, we come into Dan. 10, and I want to point out some things here, as well. We won't get into Dan. 11 because I want to wait until we have all the research done from Carl Franklin. But I can tell you that when we go through it you're going to find that only a minority of the kings of the north and the south are the ones who carry out the event. There are many kings of the north and south that are not listed here that do not carry out the event.
The event then tells us which king! When you look at it from Daniel's time going forward you have no idea how long that is going to be, and down to Christ it is right at 500 years.
We will save Dan. 11, but we want to do a little reading in Daniel 10:12; apparently Gabriel was sent to him again: "Then he said to me, 'Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard….'"
Even though you pray and you don't get an answer right away that doesn't mean God hasn't heard. I know there have been things I've prayed about, some of them just a thought and then, lo and behold, God answers it. In several cases this happened years later! Then I looked back and I thought: God answered that prayer! I don't know if you've had anything like that happen to you but you will.
"'…And I have come because of your words…. [God responds to our prayers—doesn't He?] … But the prince of the kingdom of Persia…'" (vs 12-13). This also reveals to us, just like it says in Heb. 2, that this world is under angels—including Satan the devil and the demons and the angels of God—so the prince of Persia here was the angel or demon, probably in this case the demon over Persia.
Sidebar: Does that help explain what's happening in Iran today? Who knows! He's certainly not righteous is he?
"'…Then lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; for I had been there alone with the kings of Persia. Now, I have come to make you understand what shall happen to your people in the latter days… [and this does not end until Dan. 12] …for the vision is yet for many days.' And when he had spoken such words to me, I bowed my face toward the ground, and I became dumb. And behold, one looking like the sons of men touched my lips. Then I opened my mouth and spoke and said to him who stood before me, 'O lord, my sorrows have overwhelmed me because of the vision, and I have retained no strength'" (vs 13-16).
Now then, he [the angel Gabriel] gives Daniel strength and he stands up on his feet.
Daniel 11:1: "And I, in the first year of Darius the Mede, I stood up to confirm and strengthen him. And now I will declare to you… [this is the angel speaking] …the Truth" (vs 1-2). Very interesting!
We have to go back to Daniel 10:21, a profound and important verse: "But I will show you that which is written in the Scripture of Truth…." Think on that one for a minute.
What is written in heaven at God's throne concerning the plan of God is called "…the Scripture of Truth…."
  • God is true
  • His Word is true
  • His commandments are true
  • all His precepts are true
  • Jesus is 'the Way the Truth and the Life'
"…(And there is none who holds strongly with me against them, except Michael your prince" (v 21).
Daniel 11:1: "And I, in the first year of Darius the Mede, I stood up to confirm and strengthen him…. [the words of the angel] …And now I will declare to you the Truth" (vs 1-2). Coming from the Scripture of Truth! Let's expand our thinking. What did Jesus declare Himself to be? The First and the Last, the Beginning and the Ending! He said that twice (Rev. 1). He says it later in Rev. 21-22. He says it in Isa. 45.
"…Behold, there shall yet stand up three more kings in Persia. And the fourth shall be far richer than all of them. And when he grows strong, through his riches, he shall stir up all against the kingdom of Greece" (v 2). That's over 300 years later.
When you read some of these things, and it looks like it comes one after the other, it really doesn't. That's why the Bible is hard to understand. Isn't it amazing?
I've been doing some series on Church at Home (churchathome.org) how that the world is awash in Bibles. Yet, no one understands it, and the Bible tells them what is going to happen. Yet, if they read it they don't know it. All of this gets down to, like I said in the segments on Church at Home, it gets down to three words: Obey My voice!
You have people who say the Bible is out of date. If your mind is closed you're blinded automatically!
Then it talks all about the king of Greece, and then it goes King of the North/King of the South; King of the North/King of the South right up to the end-time. So, what are we dealing with? We are dealing with about 3,000 years of history in Dan. 11! You take that back to Nebuchadnezzar.
We covered that in Dan. 2; that image begins with Nebuchadnezzar and ends with the return of Christ. Examine all of the book of Daniel and it starts with either Nebuchadnezzar or the kings of Persia and comes to the return of Christ. None of this tells us when or where or how. It just tells us the events.
I have some questions that were raised from the book of Revelation, also covering the two witnesses. Remember the man who said, 'I'm one of the two witnesses, but I can't reveal who the other witness is.' Finally, he revealed who it was, and then he was thrown into jail because he was absconding money to Switzerland from the tithes and offerings of the brethren. I suppose that within a year he's going to get out. You know, there are people who are still following him. That's an amazing thing it's an amazing thing what people will do if they really don't check it all by the Bible.
If you want to help study the book of Revelation get the version of the reading of Revelation with all of the special effects put in there by Randy Vild. He did a wonderful job of putting in the music and all that.
People check it out but they still believe the lie, and that's because they want what they believe rather than what God wants us to believe. That's a different thing and that's a mistake that people make right off.
I made it right off when I was first learning about the Bible. I started reading it to find out if I could find in there something that I believed, which was totally wrong! I couldn't find it! Why? Because it wasn't there! So, think of this way: every time you listen to the book of Revelation I've listened to it over and over again; not out of that I want to hear myself speak, but I did read the Word of God and the music is so inspiring that it brings it really to life.
Were going to read a little bit of Rev. 1 then we'll skip over and get to some other things.
Revelation 1:1: "The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to Him, to show to His servants the things that are ordained to come to pass shortly…" Shortly in our minds is different than in God's mind. Why? Because with God a day is a thousand years and a thousand years as a day! Why? Because God inhabits eternity; a whole different level of living.
The reason that we go through what we go through is because God wants us to live on that level with Him as His family. That's a fantastic thing! That is absolutely incredible! So, shortly in our lifetime and many other lifetimes is quite a while.
This was given about 95-98A.D. Here we are in 2016. In my book that's a delayed appointment, but in God's book it is going to be shortly, and where does all of this come from? What do we read in Dan. 10:21? From the Scripture of Truth! Another book in heaven! What do you know about that? You think of this: 'all Scripture is God-breathed' and it is Truth. What is the source of that Truth? God and the 'Scripture of Truth' of heaven! That's an amazing thing!
"…and He made it known, having sent it by His angel to His servant John who gave witness to the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, and all the things he saw. Blessed…" (vs 1-3). This is the blessing to claim every time you read it or hear it, because you will find that the Bible is made in such a way that you need to read it and study it and read it and study it over and over again. You will learn more and more things from the same things that you have read in the past, because as you read other parts of the Bible then when you come back to say the book of Revelation again you have more understanding in your mind with which to make connection with the Scriptures. It's a lifetime study!
Verse 3: "Blessed is the one who reads, and those who hear the words of this prophecy and who keep the things that are written therein; for the time is at hand."
The time is at hand whatever you're coming close to the end of your life. Isn't that true? Yes! What can you find in here that you need to keep? Have you ever done that study? It talks about:
  • the love of God talks
  • the commandments of God
  • the Holy Days of God
  • the testimony of Jesus Christ
  • the spirit of prophecy
All of those things are there. Look at all the instruction that we have in the seven churches (Rev. 2-3). That tells us a lot! "…for the time is at hand."
Verse 4: "John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace and peace be to you from Him Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come; and from the seven spirits that are before His throne."
We have a sermon explaining the seven spirits--Spirit of God, Spirit of Man, Seven Spirits of God—what are the seven spirits? What do they do? They're basically the eyes of God telling God what's going on, on the earth. That answers the questions:
  • How does God know when a sparrow falls?
  • How does God know how many hairs are on our head?
  • What are our thoughts?
We're dealing with a fantastic and great God Who is so marvelous and great that we are still not much bigger than the speck of dust we were when we were conceived, if we can put it that way.
Verse 4: "John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace and peace be to you from Him Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come; and from the seven spirits that are before His throne; and from Jesus Christ, the faithful Witness, the Firstborn from the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth" (vs 4-5).
You tie v 5 together with Matt. 1:18 when Jesus was born he was the firstborn of Mary; He's the Firstborn from among the dead, so Jesus was born again. This tells us you're not born again until the resurrection.
"…To Him Who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood" (v 5). That's the whole Gospel; here you have the four Gospels. Everything that's contained in there is summarized in this verse.
Verse 6: "And has made us kings and priests to God and His Father…" Not yet, but designated to be. If God says something it's as good as done.
"…to Him be the glory and the sovereignty into the ages of eternity. Amen. Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye shall see Him, and those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen" (vs 6-7). Let's analyze v 7 for just a minute:
How is "…every eye…" going to see Him? We'll see that in a minute! You can apply this different ways. At His return "…every eye shall see Him…" That means everyone who's alive. But how is every eye going to see Him, and yet, they have previously died? They have to be brought back to life!
"…those who pierced Him…" There was the soldier who pierced Him with the sword and the ones who nailed in the nails in His hands and His feet. When will they see Him? At the second resurrection! I wonder what they're going to do? I wonder what their thoughts will be? They shall see Him at that time! Here is a very good example of Isa. 28, again. That's the way the Bible is put together.
"…all the tribes of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen."
How will every eye see Him of those who are living when Jesus returns?

Verse 18: “But the saints of the Most High shall receive the Kingdom and possess the Kingdom forever, even forever and ever.”

Notice how v 19 ties in with Dan. 10:21: “Then I desired to know the truth concerning the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, exceedingly dreadful, whose teeth were of iron and his nails of brass; who devoured, broke in pieces, and stamped the rest with his feet; and of the ten horns that were on his head, and of the other horn which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth speaking very boastful things, whose appearance was greater than his fellows. I watched, and that same horn made war with the saints and overcame them… [that’s the papacy] …until the Ancient of Days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the Most High…. (vs 19-22).

Here’s where they may say that the Father comes to the earth at the beginning of the Millennium. But it doesn’t say that He came to the earth.

“…And the time came that the saints possessed the Kingdom” (v 22). We don’t possess it without the Father giving it to Christ and Christ giving it to us! In that sense He came to fulfill this prophecy. He didn’t come to the earth; doesn’t say that He came to the earth.

Verse 23: “Thus he said, ‘The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be different from all the other kingdoms and shall devour the whole earth, and shall trample it and break it in pieces.’”

You look around, everything accept maybe some parts of the Orient, are patterned after Rome. All of our government buildings are patterned after Rome. Even in Congress, they have the symbol of Mussolini, the axe on top of a sheaf of wheat.

Verse 24: “And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise. And another shall arise after them. And he shall be different from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak words against the Most High…” (vs 24-25). Both of them do!

We find that the beast (Rev. 13) blasphemes everybody in heaven, and the one in Rev. 17 speaks words against the Mort High.

“…and shall wear out the saints of the Most High…” (v 25). That's the whole history of the Church down through the time until America was founded, really when you get down to it1

“…and think to change the set times… [the times that God sets: Sabbath, Passover and Holy Days] …and the laws. And they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and one-half time” (v 25). The persecution down through time, and then there’s a persecution right at the end all over again.

Verse 26: “But the judgment shall sit, and his dominion shall be taken away to be consumed and to be destroyed unto the end. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High, Whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. And all kingdoms shall serve and obey Him” (vs 26-27).

{please refer to the chart: Right column—Events fulfilled in History}

Under The Roman Empire we have the Roman Catholic Church in the west and the Orthodox in the east. We have the Greek Orthodox and the Russian Orthodox

Then the three kingdoms which were taken out: the Vandals, the Heruli and the Ostrogoths.

Then we have the papacy in a stronger position after that

Then there are seven more resurrections of the Roman Empire with an eighth one to come.

{coming down to the Holy Roman Empire in 962 A.D.} I wonder if this will happen with the final Beast Power and be crowned by the pope?

Hapsburg dynasty--the Austrian Hungarian Empire!

Notice that all of these, when you come beginning with Napoleon, they tried to conquer all of Europe and all three of them tried to go into Russia: Napoleon, Kaiser and Hitler. They all tried to control it. We will see that that’s already settled, and people don’t even know it.

The Bismarck/Germany

If you watch the History Channel you can see quite a bit concerning WWI and WWII, and you talk about how bloody it was in WWI, I mean it was terrible. It was really a slaughter. More soldiers between soldiers. In WWII was a lot of killing of civilians and bombing and burning.

Then the final world government

We have covered the reports how that the pope has specifically said that God willed for there to be different ‘religions,’ and that they’re all coming to the same place. Everyone of these religions believe in going to heaven: Catholicism, Orthodox, Islam, all the eastern religions have a variation of incarnation and final nirvana, which would be like going to heaven. They’re making overtures to try and work things together.

Remember we covered how they’re going to build that Chrislam cathedral, temple, whatever in Abu Dhabi. It will be interesting to see what happens then. Will there be the third vision of Fatima? What will that tell us? All of those things have yet to happen. How far it is down the road, we do not know.

Revelation 17:1: “And one of the seven angels who had the seven vials came and spoke with me, saying to me, ‘Come here; I will show you the judgment of the great whore who sits upon many waters.’”

The Church is likened to a woman (Rev. 12). The false church is likened to a woman who is harlot and she “…sits upon many waters.”

Let the Bible interpret the Bible; v 15: “Then he said to me, ‘The waters that you saw, where the whore sits, are peoples and multitudes and nations and languages.” That’s exactly what the Catholic Church is! Then you throw in all of the other religions.

By the way, do you know what the pope said about communism? Communism is much like Christianity! In other words, the same dictatorial system in the Catholic Church is no different than the dictatorial system that the communist have. Only one is ‘religious’ and one is secular and anti-religious.

Verse 2: “With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication…”

Catholicism and religion is always involved in politics. Look what we have today, wherever it is. Some of it with the Protestants may be a smidgen better. But nevertheless, they still follow Rome. They claim to follow the Bible, and they do to a certain extent.

That’s not physical fornication, that is spiritual fornication, “…and those who dwell on the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication” (v 2).

Do you want to know how that works, look at how people today are going after Christmas. It’s an amazing thing! They think it’s good. I got a magazine and on the cover it says: Christmas Begins with Christ! When you’re drunk you can’t see straight.

Verse 3: “Then he carried me away in the spirit to a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet beast that had seven heads and ten horns, full of names of blasphemy”--all of them!

This chart that we have in Appendix Y explains all of that leading up to today.

Verse 4: “And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and was adorned with gold and pearls and precious stones…”

Do this: Christmas Mass is coming up pretty soon. Midnight in Rome is not midnight here. So, why don’t you watch it and look at all of the idolatry that goes on with it. Look at what the pope drinks out of for the Eucharist. It’s a big golden cup!

“…and she had a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominations and the filthiness of her fornication; and across her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH” (vs 4-5).

Lots of times we just look and say harlots is just the religion. Well the abominations of the earth, part of the fallout of that is all the atheism, agnosticism and all of the terrible things that go on. They are terrible and evil! Look at the public schools here in California. They’re indoctrinating them into sexual things in the second and third grade. The ones who are pushing it are the alphabet perverts! Once they get in control…

Remember what happened in Sodom when the three angels went down to take Lot out? They about tore down Lot’s house to try and get to the three angels! Then the angels made them blind, and in the morning the angels took Lot and his family out. They said, ‘Get out! Get out! You have to leave!’ And Lot’s wife didn’t believe! That’s quite a story. It must have been terrible destruction that happened, because the two daughters said, ‘Look, there’s nobody else alive around, so let’s get our father drunk and have children so that the human race will continue.’ Abominations of the earth!

I’ll tell you one big abomination of the earth, who supposedly killed himself in his cell while no one was looking. Two things for President Trump even if you don’t like him:

1.       he has stopped an awful lot of this sexual trafficking
2.       he has helped bring down abortions by about 200,000

That’s a lot!

As we saw with Nebuchadnezzar, God does deal with the leaders, and those who acknowledge God He will honor. How much Trump does it in his private life, I do not know. He’s still blinded by Christmas and all this sort of thing.
Verse 6: “And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus….” Two categories:

1)      those are the saints who are converted
2)   the martyrs are those who believe but were never converted

God doesn’t forget them either!

“…And after seeing her, I wondered with great amazement. Then the angel said to me, ‘Why are you amazed? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns. The beast that you saw was, and is not, but is about to come up out of the abyss and to go into perdition…..’” (vs 6-8). This is the last one!

“…And those who dwell on the earth, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world…” (v 8).

It’s not that their names are there from the foundation of the earth, it is the Book of Life was there from the foundation of the earth.

“…shall be astonished when they see the beast that was, but is not, and yet, is” (v 8).

Delores and I have talked about this a lot, and she right on this. The beast that was and is not, and yet is, and shall come up again can be nothing other than Europe as a geographical and governmental and religious territory!

Bismarck, Hitler and Napoleon all tried to conquer Russia, but what has happened today? Have you heard of NATO? We’ve thought that was a good, wonderful American alliance, which it was at the time. But 75 years later, what has happened? All of the territory that those three tried to conquer is now part of NATO or seeking to become a member of NATO! You have Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, and then you have Romania, Hungry, Greece, Macedonia, Croatia, and Sardinia. All of those are either full members or part members of NATO.

What does Pres. Trump want to do in that area? He wants them to pay more for the military! He wants to remove American troops!

What is happening in the UK? Boris Johnson looks like he’s going to win in a landslide! That means that the UK will be out of the European Union! They may be temporarily attached to it militarily, but they’re out! What does that do? That puts the two sons of Jacob--Ephraim and Manasseh--outside of the world system for the time being!

Let me read you what’s happening and you will see that Delores was right:

Article: November Drumming {https://www.german-foreign-policy.com/en/news/detail/8103/}

Berlin: Leading German politicians are calling for a more aggressive German and EU foreign and military policy, in the run-up to tomorrow’s Bundeswehr public oath-taking ceremony.

They take that oath every year, and that is quite a thing. The Valkyrie! Tom Cruise was the main one in the movie and they showed how they tried to assassinate Hitler and they killed some other German leaders. These troops are honored and those who belonged to that every year! They take the oath that never again will there be that kind of dictator. So, the dictator that comes into Europe is going to come in righteous at first, and he won’t take the dictatorial powers until a little later.

But let’s see that now that is beginning to become a reality. How many years will that take? Who knows! How many years did it take Hitler when he became chancellor? Twelve years!

“Europe must learn the language of power,” says Ursula von der Leyen, the designated EU Commission President, and is demanding to “build our own muscles” militarily.

Now that the UK is out, who is the power? Germany! The beast that was, is not—it came to nothing—and yet is. There you go!

German Foreign Minster Heiko Maas proposes the creation of a 'European Security Council"…

So, it’s involving all members!

…with the inclusion of Great Britain…

That will be temporary!

…because the targeted "Army of the Europeans" cannot forego its armed forces. Berlin has simultaneously approved billions in arms projects. The Bundestag’s budget committee, for example, has approved more than half a billion euros, to also benefit NATO’s “Spearhead,” while the defense committee has approved the procurement of 80 Leopard 2A7V battle tanks worth around 1 billion. To increase acceptance of the Bundeswehr’s foreign missions, the chancellor is calling for support of tomorrow's public oath-taking ceremonies.

What they’re now doing is saying that all the German people are cleansed. ‘We have suffered all of this and we have learned our lessons. We want to help build up Europe,’ because they know that the United States is going go. After we leave, that’s when things will start to happen.

The Language of Power

Following Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer's announcement, last week, of expanding the deployment of the Bundeswehr…

Where are they going to deploy them? German troops will be with French troops, Italian troops, Polish troops, Ukrainian troops and all of that sort of thing.

…leading German politicians have upped the ante and emphatically called for a more aggressive German and EU foreign and military policy. In her speech at the CDU affiliated Konrad Adenauer Foundation, last Friday, in the German capital, designated EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen claimed that “soft power” is no longer enough in today's world…

They’re getting strong!

…and "Europe must learn the language of power.”….

What is it that your hear? Power makes things work!

[1] On the one hand, “this means building our own muscles” in security policy. On the other, the Union must become "more strategic in light of Europe’s external interests.” Under von der Leyen, the Commission is pursuing its arms buildup plan for the EU, with double-digit billions in euros. [2] Regarding "high-end military capabilities,” EU member states need "full-spectrum land, air, space and maritime capabilities,” according to the “Global Strategy for the European Union,” adopted in 2016. [3] Critics keep insisting that financing military expenditures from EU coffers is inadmissible under the EU treaties—but in vain.

They can just say, ‘we’ll change that.’

Revelation 17:8: “The beast that you saw was, and is not, but is about to come up out of the abyss…”

How does Satan always come? With a benefit! Just think of how fantastic that is going to be for the Europeans to actually think that we can all come together with the pope’s blessing and probably the Orthodox leader blessing as well, and: ‘We can have our own army, our own everything. We don’t have to kowtow to the American at all anymore.’

America, at first, will say, ‘That’s great! Think of the billions that we won’t have to pay for NATO, and the billions we won’t have to pay for aid, and the billions we won’t have to pay for keeping the troops in wherever they are in the world. At first, that will sound real good. But you look at the morals of the people—and if you don’t have a challenge at hand—what’s going to happen?

“…and to go into perdition. And those who dwell on the earth, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, shall be astonished when they see the beast that was, but is not, and yet, is. Here is the mind that has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits” (vs 8-9)--and there are seven hills in Rome!

Verse 10: “And there are seven kings…” Those are symbolic; what happened with every one of these seven kings? Who ordained them? The pope!

“…five are fallen, and one is, and the other has not yet come… [that’s what we’re seeing develop here now] …and when he has come, it is ordained that he remain a little while” (v 10).

Tie that together in the sermon The Consummation of the Age about the last seven years. The first three and a half are going to be glorious, wonderful, marvelous, miracles, everybody is happy and doing the right thing. The blessings of the pope, governments are getting along, people are loving one another, and then what happens? The King of the South doesn’t like it! He comes after the King of the North, and that starts the cascade leading right directly into the Tribulation. This is quite a thing that’s developing.

Verse 12: “And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings, who have not yet received a kingdom, but shall receive authority as kings for one hour with the beast…. [that will be a very short time] …These all have one mind, and shall give up their power and authority to the beast. These will make war with the Lamb, but the Lamb shall overcome them; for He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful” (vs 12-14). Quite a tremendous thing!

We can understand this a little more because of the times that we are living in, and we can see that, yes, this is happening.

Revelation 13:1: “And I stood on the sand of the sea; and I saw a beast rising up out of the sea… [Didn’t we read that in Daniel? Yes, we did!] …having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast that I saw was like a leopard… [Dan. 7] …and his feet like the feet of a bear… [Dan. 7] …and his mouth like the mouth of a lion… [Dan. 7] …and the dragon gave him his power, and his throne and great authority” (vs 1-2).

What power do you think he’s going to have? I’ve mentioned this a couple of times in the past, but I still firmly believe that it’s going to happen. The Cern cyclotron underground in Switzerland—the Hadron Collider—is probably going to make some sort of fantastic discovery that will give the beast—the European Power, who will be personified in the beast—the ability to keep people from making war.

Verse 3: And I saw one of his heads as if it were slain to death…” This comes right at the end of three and a half years, the first three of the last seven is going to be a marvelous thing indeed!

“…but his deadly wound was healed; and the whole earth was amazed and followed the beast” (v 3). That’s when they give their authority to the beast! He rises up and now:

We need to get the whole world order together. All of these people fighting against us need to be brought down into submission.

Verse 4: “And they worshiped the dragon, who gave his authority to the beast. And they worshiped the beast, saying, ‘Who is like the beast? Who has the power to make war against him?’” That will be short-lived!

·         What’s hanging in the North and the East?
·         What does China want to try and do? Take over the world!

So, they’re over there and seeing all of this; it’s going to be quite a thing!

Verse 5: “And a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies was given to him… [Dan. 7] …and authority was given to him to continue for forty-two months”--three and a half years by months! After the deadly wound was healed, he continues for three and a half years or 42 months.

Verse 6: “And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, and His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. And he was given power to make war against the saints, and to overcome them; and he was given authority over every tribe and language and nation” (vs 6-7)--for a short time! Then it all falls apart!

Keep your eyes on what’s happening in Europe, and keep your eyes on what’s happening in Germany. Guess who’s going to Europe on Dec. 3? Pres. Trump and NATO is going to meet there. Look what’s happening in the background when he gets over there. They’re going to come up to him and say,

Pres. Trump, you’re right, we’re going to commit more to the defense of NATO. We need to stand on our own two feet.
And he’s going to say, ‘You’re absolutely right! It’s about time you understand it!’

Right at first that will look like a wonderful thing. What will it do for America? For a while it will make things better! But what’s going to happen in Europe? We’ll have to wait and see!

Greetings, brethren! Welcome to Sabbath services!

I have a couple of questions to answer: Someone is now claiming that God the Father will come to the earth at the beginning of the Millennium. Is that true? Whenever you hear something, what are we to do? What does Paul say? Search the Scriptures and prove all things, hold fast to that which is good!

So, when you hear a statement: Is it true? Does the Bible verify it? If it does, then it is true. If it is not, the Bible will not verify it, you will know that that’s a wrong interpretation or a false doctrine.

1-Corinthians 15:20: “But now Christ has been raised from the dead…” that is verified by:

Revelation 1:18[transcriber’s correction], Christ said, “…for I was dead, and behold, I am alive into the ages of eternity…”

1-Corinthians 15:20: “...He has become the Firstfruit of those who have fallen asleep.”

It’s very interesting, it’s either 1st or 2nd Tim., it says in the Greek that ‘He has annulled death.’ The King James says ‘destroy.’ But annul is a better word, because it means to take the past and make it as it never existed.

Verse 21: “For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die… [no one has escaped that, yet; not even Christ] …so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order… [What are the orders?]: …Christ the Firstfruit; then those who are Christ’s at His coming. Afterwards the end comes…” (vs 21-24).

What comes before the end? The Millennium and the Great White Throne Judgment!

“…when He shall have delivered up the Kingdom to Him Who is God and Father…” (v 24).

If God the Father were already on the earth it wouldn’t be necessary to deliver it up to the Father. He would be here running it!

When does Christ do this? “…when He shall have put an end to all rule… [and Satan and demons] …and all authority and power. For it is ordained that He reign until He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy to be destroyed… [in the Lake of Fire] …is death. For He has put all things in subjection under His feet. But when it is said that all things have been put in subjection, it is clearly evident that it does not include Him Who put all things in subjection under Him” (vs 24-27). That is the Father!

Where is the first place that we find the Father on the earth? Rev. 21! Not until the new heaven and the new earth and New Jerusalem!

There was another question to answer, which is this: You have heard it said that the reason that it got dark for three hours, from the sixth hour to the ninth hour, was because God the Father couldn’t look on sin. They turned to Hab. 1.

Habakkuk 1:12: “Are You not from everlasting, O LORD my God, my Holy One? We shall not die. O LORD, You have ordained them for judgment; and my Rock, You have established them for correction. You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and cannot look upon iniquity….” (vs 12-13).

That’s a statement! It doesn’t mean that He doesn’t look upon it, because notice:

“…Why do You look upon those who deal treacherously?….” (v 13).

In other words, the first sentence in v 13 is meaning that you don’t look upon it approvingly; that could be the only meaning. Otherwise, it’s incomprehensible. He looks upon it for judgment.

“…Will You be silent when the wicked swallows the man that is more righteous than he?” (v 13). No! God sees it!

How many times have you read in the Scriptures that the eyes of God look upon man? We know from Rev. that there are the seven eyes of God that goes around the earth all the time. So, there are a lot of things going on we don’t know anything about.

*****

We’re going to pick up where we left off with message: The Consummation of the Age. Remember, at the instant that the kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of Christ is when the seventh trump has been blown. That starts it. That also starts the first resurrection.

So, Christ is going to start reigning, but what is the first thing that He does? He resurrects all of those who are going to reign with Him! Doesn’t it say that we’re going to reign a thousand years with Christ as kings and priests? Yes! So, He’s not going to do it by Himself.

·         How sure is everything that God has said going to be?
·         What did Jesus say about the Word of God? Your Word is the Truth!
·         What did He say about Himself? I am the Way, the Truth and the Life!

Here’s something interesting that we’ve covered before, but it fits right in with the Scriptures concerning what’s going to be happening at the end-time.

Daniel 10:21—Gabriel speaking to Daniel: “But I will show you that which is written in the Scripture of Truth…. [everything is written in heaven above; that’s quite a statement] …(And there is none who holds strongly with me against them, except Michael your prince.”

Daniel was given more prophecies effecting the whole world than any of the other Prophets outside of Isaiah. Jeremiah didn’t have as many.

Refer to chart of the Prophecies of the Reign of Gentile Kingdoms in the Daniel/Revelation sermon series showing the prophecies of the reign of the Gentile Kingdoms. This is all based upon Daniel and then Revelation. This is also found in The Holy Bible in it’s Original Order, A Faithful Version, Appendix Y, pg. 1366.

As you look at the chart, come across and it says: Dan. 2, Dan. 7, Dan. 8, Rev. 17, the Explanation of symbols, The Events fulfilled in History

We don’t have anything like this going back in detail to Abraham, Isaac or Jacob. From the Scriptures, we can pretty well fill out a chronology of their lives and how that came together. But in Dan. 2 God gets very specific in detail showing what’s going to happen in the kingdoms of men. It’s interesting because from the them of Nebuchadnezzar on forward, the history pretty well collaborates itself all the way through.

Whereas, if you go back beyond that, it’s very difficult to make sure that it’s true, or that it is accurate. Especially when you look at the old, old Babylonian chronologies and things with Gilgamesh and Egyptian chronologies. They stretch them out many, many years—tens of thousands of years in some cases—which is not true. So, God started this at a time when we would have accurate history to verify all of these facts coming down to the end.

Dan. 2:20 starts out with a prayer from Daniel, after all of the wise men, the astrologers and soothsayers were threatened to be killed because they couldn’t answer what the king wanted with this dream that he had. He gathered them altogether and said:

I dreamed a dream. Now I want you to tell me the dream and tell me what the dream means. If you don’t, I’m going to kill you all.

Of course, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were in with the wise men. Then the three of them got together and prayed and asked God to reveal. Think about what a tremendous thing that this was. Notice how this came about.

Daniel at this point was a young man. Later when we get to Dan. 9 & 10, he was an old man.

Daniel 2:20: “Daniel answered and said… [after God revealed the secret to him] …‘Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His.’”

One key to everything in the Bible, and in life, is that you have nothing you didn’t receive! God gave it to you and in Him we live, move and have our being! This is always good to remember so that you don’t get lifted up in vanity, pride and stupidity. That’s happened too many times over and over.

Verse 21: “And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals the deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him” (vs 21-22). That’s covering an awful lot of ground! In other words, God is almighty, all knowledge, everything!

Verse 23: “I thank You, and praise You, O God of my fathers, Who has given me wisdom and might, and have now made known to me what we desired of You, for You have made known to us the king’s matter.”

This was quite a thing that took place, because after this is over, we’ll see what happened to Daniel.

Verse 24: “Therefore, Daniel went in to Arioch, whom the king had chosen to destroy the wise men of Babylon. He went and said this to him: ‘Do not destroy the wise men of Babylon. Bring me in before the king, and I will declare the interpretation to the king.’ Then Arioch quickly brought Daniel in before the king, and said this to him, ‘I have found a man of the captives of Judah who will make the interpretation known to the king.’ The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, ‘Are you able to make known to me the dream which I have seen and its interpretation?’” (vs 24-26). In other words, what does this mean?

Verse 27: “Daniel answered before the king and said, ‘The secret which the king has demanded cannot be shown to the king by the wise men, the enchanters, the astrologers or the magicians. But there is a God in heaven Who reveals secrets and makes known to King Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days….’” (vs 27-28). Now, that’s an interesting statement!

·         As God looks at time, did the ‘latter days’ start at this point? Don’t know! Could be!
·         Can you think of any other Scriptures in the Old Testament about the latter days? Tremendous prophecies that were given to Jacob, and he gave to all 12 sons!

He gave to all of his 12 sons a prophecy, he said, ‘Gather together and I’ll tell you what you’ll be like in the latter days.’ What the key one in Gen. 49 & Deut. 33? The sons of Joseph! That’s very important, because down through history we’re going to cover the Gentile kingdoms.

Note our book: America and Britain in Prophecy: Their Biblical Origin & Prophetic Destiny by Philip Neal. A lot of Protestants think that the Church replaced all Israel, because they believed that all Israel is encapsulated with just the Jews, which is not true!

If there weren’t the sons of Joseph and the other ten tribes in Western Europe that we have today, the world would indeed be a terrible, terrible place! So, what happened was that down through the empires of the Gentiles, the children of Israel were running parallel. The Jews were running parallel and scattered in all nations.

The only thing they had at the last time was a place along the coast of the Eastern Mediterranean and Jerusalem and part of the land around there. That’s all that God gave them. All of these are working together at the same time. So, here we will focus on the Gentile kingdoms.

Verse 28: “But there is a God in heaven Who reveals secrets and makes known to King Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Your dream and the visions of your head upon your bed are these.” God had to reveal that to him! How did he know except that God revealed it!

Verse 29: “As for you, O king, while upon your bed your thoughts came to you of what should come to pass hereafter…. [from this time forward and ends up at the consummation] …And He Who reveals secrets makes known to you what shall come to pass. But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living man… [notice the humility that Daniel has] …but so that the interpretation may be made known to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your heart” (vs 29-30).

I imagine that the king was sitting there wondering what this guy was going to tell him. I don’t know how old Nebuchadnezzar was but here’s Daniel who is probably 20 or 21 at this point, and he said:

Verse 31: “You, O king, looked—and behold, a great image! That great image, whose brightness was surpassing, stood before you. And its form was awesome. This image’s head was of fine gold; his breast and his arms were of silver; his belly and his thighs were of bronze; His legs were of iron; his feet were part of iron and part of clay. You watched until a stone was cut out without hands…” (vs 31-34).

If you want an interesting study, look up without hands and see how many times that is used, and what God does. That means without human hands!

“…that struck the image upon its feet, which were of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were broken in pieces together. And they became like the chaff of the summer threshing-floors. And the wind carried them away, so that not a trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth” (vs 34-35). That great mountain is Christ, the Kingdom of God!

Verse 36: “This is the dream. And we will tell the interpretation before the king. You, O king, are a king of kings, for the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory” (vs 36-37).

There was a time, in Dan. 4, which is actually written by Nebuchadnezzar, which is quite a thing. King Nebuchadnezzar was so important that he’s got a letter in the Bible in the book of Daniel to tell about his experience and how God humbled him for all the leaders of the world to listen up and pay attention.

Verse 38: “And wherever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field, and the birds of the heaven, He has given them into your hand, and has made you ruler over them all. You are this head of gold.”

When you look at the chart you can see that it starts right there. All of these prophecies in Daniel start at the same place and end at the same place.

Verse 39: “And after you shall arise another kingdom inferior to you, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall rule over all the earth. And the fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron, forasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and beats down all things, and as the iron that crushes all these, shall it break in pieces and crush. And whereas you saw the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided. But there shall be in it the strength of the iron, because you saw the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly broken” (vs 39-42)--or partly weak!

Now let’s look at the chart:

First column, Dan. 2:

Head of gold—Babylon

What happened to Babylon? The Medes and Persians conquered Babylon! When Cyrus the Great conquered Babylon, he did a phenomenal thing. The River Euphrates ran right down the middle of the city of Babylon. They had big brass gates so that no one could come in through the river.

So, what Cyrus the Great did was to dig a channel and diverted the river so that it got low enough so the troops walked in under the brass protection and came to the doors that led to the river’s edge, which were open. They conquered the city without throwing a spear. Today you would say ‘without firing a shot.’

Belly and thighs of brass—Alexander the Great

The events go down the right hand column

Two legs of iron—the Roman Empire

Which goes and goes, and is explained in other chapters. Here Daniel was given this vision right to the end and at the bottom of the column on the left:

The ten toes of iron and clay (vs 36, 41-45) Fight against the Lamb and are destroyed without human hands.

This covers a lot of territory. Is there any other book in the world that can even come close to this, in telling this? No, there’s not!

Let’s see what takes place, v 44: “And in the days of these kings, the God of heaven shall set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed. And the Kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.” That’s the Kingdom of God!

That’s why we are here, to learn of these things, but also to know and understand exactly what it is that God is doing. We’ll talk about some contemporary things a little later on that is taking place today.

Verse 45: “Because you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands… [Who is the stone? Christ!] …and that it broke in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold, the great God has made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter. And the dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure.”

Remember where we started; the Scripture of Truth in heaven! Here’s the great King Nebuchadnezzar, ruler over all of this. He spent 20 years conquering Judah. Daniel and the other three were on the first wave that went out from the first invasion of Judah. Here he is and notice what he does:

Verse 46: “Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face and worshiped Daniel…” Think about this!

Here’s the king on his throne, here are all the wise men standing alongside him, and there are probably others out there listening and hearing what’s going on. Daniel is standing right in front of the king telling him all of this, and then all of a sudden, the king gets off his throne and falls down on his face and worships Daniel.

Think about what an utter surprise that was! Now you know why the wise men wanted to get rid of Daniel a little later (Dan. 5).

“…and he commanded to offer an offering and sweet incense to him. The king answered Daniel and said, ‘It is true that your God is the God of gods, and the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret” (vs 46-47). Quite an astonishing thing!

I don’t know how many days this occurred, but think about that Daniel was there for 79 years, and there were certain times when certain things came along. It wasn’t all high-powered all at once all the time.

Verse 48: “Then the king made Daniel great, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over all the province of Babylon… [sounds a little like Joseph and Pharaoh in Egypt] …and chief of the prefects over all the wise men of Babylon.” Daniel was over all the wise men, all the philosophers; that was quite a thing!

I like what Daniel did in v 49: “And Daniel asked the king, and he appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego over the affairs of the province of Babylon. But Daniel sat within the gate of the king.”

From a near slave boy to a young man whom God used to give that dream an interpretation, and then made him rule over the province of Babylon. Now you can see why the Jews had favor in Babylon, with Daniel there, and Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.

We will bypass Dan. 3-6; chapter 5 talks about the destruction of Babylon. Here’s another thing to understand what God does. In Dan. 2 He gave the outline, and in Dan. 7 He gives more details, which fills in this outline and expands it a bit.

Daniel 7:1: “In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed. Then he wrote the dream and told the sum of the matters. Daniel spoke and said, ‘In my vision by night I was looking, and behold, the four winds of the heavens were stirring up the Great Sea. And four great beasts came up from the sea, different from one another’” (vs 1-3).

What did we read in Rev. 13? I was standing on the seashore and up out of the sea rose the beast! Same thing!

Verse 4: “The first was like a lion and had eagle’s wings…. [that’s where we get the Babylonian cherubim; eagles wings with a lion’s head] …I watched until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on its feet like a man. And a man’s heart was given to it.”

That ties right back with Dan. 4, that after Nebuchadnezzar had his seven years of eating grass and living with cattle, and let his hair and nails grow… I wonder if he used his nails to cut the grass? Talk about a humiliation! If you’re crawling around on that all the time, what’s on the ground with there’s cattle? You know! All of that and the king—the great king—was lower than a beast, and when he came back he was given a man’s heart, is that’s Nebuchadnezzar.

Verse 5: “And behold another beast, a second, like a bear. And it raised itself up on one side, and it had three ribs in its mouth… [we will see three a little later; it’s a little different, not the same] …between its teeth. And this was said to it ‘Arise, eat up much flesh.’”

As we look at the interpretation, that’s the Persian Empire. Persia covered all the area. Isn’t it interesting that the area where the Holy Land was, was conquered by the Babylonians, was conquered by the Persians, was conquered by the Greeks, was conquered by the Romans. All four had some part in the Holy Land! That’s quite an amazing thing to understand!

Verse 6: “After this I saw, and lo, another beast, like a leopard, which had four wings of a bird on its back. The beast also had four heads and dominion was given to it.” This is Alexander’s Grecian Empire, which when he died was split into four divisions! We can see that interpreted on the chart.

Verse 7: “After this I looked in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, frightening and terrifying, and exceedingly strong. And it had great iron teeth; it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the rest with its feet. And it was different from all the beasts before it; and it had ten horns.” The first time we come to ten horns!

Verse 8: “As I was considering the horns, behold, there came up among them another horn, a little one, before whom three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots. And behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.” This has got to be the papacy! Notice where this ends:

Verse 9: “I watched until thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days sat, Whose raiment was white as snow, and the hair of His head like pure wool. His throne was like flames of fire, and its wheels like burning fire.” Looking at God’s cherubim there!

Verse 10: “A stream of fire issued and came out from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered unto Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court sat and the books were opened.” Compare that with Rev. 4 & 5! In Rev. 5 it says that there thousands and thousands singing and praising God.

Verse 11: “Then I was looking because of the voice of the boastful words, which the horn spoke. I watched until the beast was slain, and his body was destroyed and given to the burning flame. And as for the rest of the beasts, their dominion was taken away. Yet, their lives were prolonged for a season and time” (vs 11-12).

·         Do we still have Persia today? Yes, it’s Iran!
·         Do we still have Greece today? Yes, it’s a small nation!
·         Do we still have part of the Roman Empire today? Originating in Italy, but also parts of it in various aspects of the governments of Europe!

So, we have all of those things together!

Then we come to the same place, to the end; v 13: I saw visions in the night and, behold, One like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. And dominion and glory was given to Him…” (vs 13-14). Tie in with 1-Cor. 15!

All of these things as you go along and study the Bible and put it together, you see how the old agrees with the new, because the old has the substance and the lock because it’s hidden, and the new has the key because it opens.

“…and a kingdom, that all people, nations and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed” (v 14). Tie that together with many of the Scriptures we covered during the Feast of Tabernacles; we go into details about it.

Lots of times it’s given in the Bible in one place, and then in another place there are details of it. When you tie it together with the Holy Days, then you get a greater and greater picture of it all.

Prophecy - Satan's Power. Sabbath sermon message by Fred R. Coulter. Part #1 and Part #2

Here is the opening lines for part #2.
Prophecy - Satan's Power. By Fred Coulter. August 17, 2019

How many have watched the TV program, Ancient Aliens? Quite a show!!!  They don't understand really what's going on and that what they're describing is what happened and is true. What they don't realize is that there is God, Christ, the holy angels, Satan the devil and the demons. Where they're talking about the ancient aliens in most cases, they're talking about demons and so it's also setting up the world to fight Christ when he returns because he will be labeled, “the aliens.” It's going to be… well, you'll have to come back for our sermon on the Feast of Trumpets to go through that, but it's going to be an awesome thing.
The question should be, who is Satan, how did he become Satan and how did he get so much power? Now, first of all, we read in Revalations that Satan is deceiving the whole world and the whole world is worshipping Him. Why -- you either worship the true God, or you may be on neutral ground for a little bit, or you're worshipping Satan the devil.  If you're in the middle ground, you're in the world and we will see Satan controls the world.

When the first socialists were trying to take over the government.

Greetings everyone welcome to Sabbath services. I have a profound little paragraph to read to you. And this was written back in 1931 when the first socialists were trying to take over the
government. And it says, you cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without
receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from someone else. Now who was the first one to proclaim that in the Bible? No, Samuel, yes Samuel. What did he say when they wanted a king, he's going to take from you and what happened when it got to Solomon he took so much that there was rebellion, okay when half the people get the idea that
they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them then the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because someone else is going to get what they work for that my friend is about the end of any nation you cannot multiply wealth by
dividing it.

Prophecy Being Fulfilled Today

From the Desk of Fred Coulter - Monthly Letter's,
January 2019-( inpart )
Dear Brethren,
As we begin a new year according to the Roman Calendar, it seems like Jesus’ prophesies of Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 are magnifying in intensity! While it is true that these prophesies began with the time of Jesus and the apostles—leading up to the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 AD—they are being repeated in an almost cyclical manner down through time, with a yet-to-be-built third Temple to be destroyed at Christ’s return.
In spite of all that has been happening, we are not yet close to the end, to the return of Jesus Christ in power and glory. But, we are closer than in the past. There are yet many prophetic events that must take place before we reach the actual end.
Wanting God to fulfill His prophecies during their lifetimes, men have through the centuries “set dates” predicting when the end would come. All such predictions have failed. Many “Christian” ministers continue to do so—as do some ministers in the churches of God. But no man, regardless of how important he may be, can tell God what to do!
